I had never visited Maine before working with their tourism board as a client at BVK. I also never visited Maine while working with their tourism board as a client at BVK. I did, however, design several components of their annual marketing efforts, and wrote dozens of headlines and bits of copy over the three years I worked on the account.

When I eventually moved to Boston after my stint at BVK, a drive to Maine was one of the first trips my partner Ali and I took. We went back as often as we could, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we retired there one day.
