In 2015, I approached the United Adworkers board of directors and asked if I could redesign their visual identity. Since that time, I’ve served as a volunteer designer when big projects came up, and eventually I was asked to take over as interim Executive Director in 2022.

In my time as Executive Director, I organized all brand assets into an easy-to-manage library on Canva and Notion. I reduced annual spending and subscription costs by a few thousand dollars, converted the club’s website and email marketing systems to Wix, and set the new Executive Director loose six months later with a refined set of brand standards, organizational bylaws, defined subcommittees, and an approach for developing an online shop of on-demand printed goods for members, and a slew of ways for improving upon the format of their annual golf outing and local advertising award show.

I’ve since stepped away from United Adworkers in an effort to let a new generation of members take the lead. I still sometimes serve as a sounding board for the directors if necessary.
